Whilst Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed, keeping customers and staff team safe remains our priority at the Heron. We kindly ask that all visitors follow the Government guidelines for Hospitality, which includes the use of face masks (except when seated, or if exempt) and the requirement to collect Test & Protect details for EACH visitor. We will continue to keep our distance when interacting with customers, where possible, and we ask that customers are mindful of the comfort/concerns of our more vulnerable visitors. Hand sanitiser is readily available outside and inside the building; please make use of this and please don’t be offended if our team asks you to do so when entering the building.

Hygiene and cleaning standards are of the utmost importance to us, as they always have been, and our team is continuing to work hard with this. We will continue with our well-established system for allocating tables to customers on arrival; this is to ensure that Only tables/chairs which have been thoroughly sanitised can be used. Please help us with this by not sitting down until we have allocated the seating to you (indoors and outdoors).

At the start of the pandemic we were advised to not have dogs at our indoors seating; we are hopeful that this will change but at present dogs are able to sit outdoors only – we apologise for any inconvenience.

Our farm shop and cafe remain open 7 days a week. We are also offering takeaway coffees, homebaked cakes and hot food, all using the high quality produce our customers love.

We offer a large range of high quality produce in our farm shop, sourcing local, Scottish produce with good provenance where we can. We have chilled & frozen meats, pies, game, cheeses, ready meals, fresh fruit and vegetables (sourced locally where the seasons in the West of Scotland allow!) , dairy, a large range of ambient goods. We stock gifting items and greetings cards/wrap. Our home-baked Heron cakes are all available for takeaway, so you can enjoy our tasty bakes at home.

As well as essential shopping items, we will soon have lots of festive goodies in stock for Christmas, perfect as stand-alone purchases or to make up your own bespoke hampers – we can wrap these for you. We also have a range of gifts.

We have carried out rigorous risk assessments at each stage of the COVID-19 pandemic and on a daily basis, adapting our space, procedures and functions to best keep our customers and staff safe. We are currently only taking card payments. We will happily discuss any questions, please call us on 01357 440147 or email emma@theheronfarmshop.com.
